{"id":1472,"date":"2021-10-09T10:27:20","date_gmt":"2021-10-09T10:27:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.asiafreepress.com\/?p=1472"},"modified":"2021-10-09T10:27:22","modified_gmt":"2021-10-09T10:27:22","slug":"islamabad-tehran-istanbul-road-transport-corridor-begins-operation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.asiafreepress.com\/en\/world\/islamabad-tehran-istanbul-road-transport-corridor-begins-operation\/","title":{"rendered":"Islamabad-Tehran-Istanbul Road Transport Corridor begins operation"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p>Project launched by Turkey Trade Ministry, counterparts in Iran, Pakistan under aegis of Economic Cooperation Organization<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>ISTANBUL, Oct 9 (AA): A welcoming ceremony was held Friday by the Turkish Trade Ministry in Istanbul after the Islamabad-Tehran-Istanbul Road Transport Corridor Project successfully carried commercial cargo on Pakistani trucks to Turkey.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The trucks departed Sept. 27 from Karachi and reached the Turkish metropolitan city of Istanbul on Thursday, covering 5,300 kilometers (3,293 miles).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pakistan&#8217;s envoy to Turkey, senior Iranian officials, Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), International Road Union (IRU), Turkey&#8217;s Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) and other participants representing the public and private sector attended the ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Project was launched by Turkey\u2019s Trade Ministry and counterparts in Iran and Pakistan under the aegis of ECO.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Drops when they are taken together become a river<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I would only like to say there is a saying in almost every language, in our language, Urdu, also, that drops, when they are taken together become a river,&#8221;
