ISLAMABAD: The Canadian High Commissioner to Pakistan, Tarik Ali Khan, met with Pakistan\u2019s Federal Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, Senator Dr Musadik Malik, to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral ties in climate, agriculture, and sustainable development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the meeting, on Thursday, the High Commissioner expressed condolences over the recent attack on Cadet College Wana in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and reiterated Canada\u2019s support for peace and stability in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also welcomed Pakistan\u2019s facilitation of Canadian Canola Oil imports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Discussions focused on expanding collaboration in climate-adaptive agriculture, community welfare, and sustainable economic growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Khan highlighted Canada\u2019s expertise in climate-smart technologies and offered support through government-to-government (G2G) arrangements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr Malik praised Canada\u2019s balanced approach to clean energy and carbon management, noting that its experience provides valuable insights for Pakistan\u2019s transition to a green economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also briefed the High Commissioner on Pakistan\u2019s Green Clusters initiative, which aims to promote youth entrepreneurship, innovation, and environmentally sustainable business ventures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
