KABUL(BNA): Mawlawi Noor-ul-Haq Anwar, the head of the Islamic Emirate’s General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, made a notable visit to Kabul’s central prison where he personally engaged with detainees and individuals under arrest. His visit aimed to inquire about their well-being and address their concerns.

In this visit, Mawlawi Anwar was accompanied by officials including Mawlawi Mohammad Yusuf Mistari, head of the General Directorate of Prisons, Qari Habibullah Badar, deputy head of the Office of the Prison Administration, and Qari Mohammad Gul Jigar Khun, chief of Kabul province’s detention center.

The head of the General Directorate of Prisons visited the detainees and ensured that their consent is sought in all matters related to the administration of prisons, emphasizing the importance of respecting their human and legal rights without coercion, secrecy, or imposition.

Meanwhile, the head of the General Directorate of Prisons assured Mawlawi Noor-ul-Haq Anwar, the head of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, that comprehensive programs in religious studies, modern education, and vocational training have been provided to inmates in all prisons.

Mawlawi Mistari also mentioned that the civilian and military officials along with personnel work tirelessly day and night to responsibly manage and provide necessary facilities, services, and opportunities for prisoners, ensuring their rights and well-being are upheld effectively.

In the end, Mawlawi Noor-ul-Haq Anwar, the head of General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, expressed satisfaction with the activities undertaken for prisoners by the Directorate of the Prisons and pledged for cooperation and support.
