KABUL (BNA): Mawlavi Ahmadullah Wasiq, Director General of the Olympic, Physical Education, and Sports Directorate, recently met with Khawaja Awadov, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkmenistan to Afghanistan.
During the meeting, Ambassador Awadov emphasized Turkmenistan’s commitment to continuing its assistance and cooperation with Afghanistan.
Wasiq highlighted the significance of strong, friendly ties between the two countries, noting that sports can transcend boundaries and serve as a bridge between countries. He proposed facilitating opportunities for Turkmen athletes to compete in Afghanistan and for Afghan athletes to participate in events in Turkmenistan.
Ambassador Awadov expressed optimism about further expanding sports ties between Turkmenistan and Afghanistan.
