BAMYAN(BNA): Over 170,000 domestic and foreign tourists have explored the ancient sites and natural landscapes of Bamyan in the past six months. Mawlavi Safiullah Raed, head of the Information and Culture Department of Bamyan, shared this remarkable statistic with the Bakhtar News Agency.

Mawlavi Raed emphasized that the department, in collaboration with local authorities, has been actively working to enhance facilities aimed at attracting a diverse range of visitors. Key initiatives include ensuring the safety of tourists, closely monitoring hotel accommodations, and restoring ancient artifacts.

One of the standout projects is the construction of a specialized hotel in Band-e Amir, Afghanistan’s first national park, which aims to provide a comfortable stay for tourists enjoying the breathtaking natural beauty of the area.

The efforts to bolster tourism not only reflect a commitment to preserving Bamyan’s rich heritage but also highlight the potential for economic growth through increased visitor engagement.
