KABUL (BNA): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has stated that the issue of the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is an internal matter for Pakistan and should be resolved through domestic solutions.
In a statement, the ministry said that the government of Afghanistan had been able to “completely suppress the terrorist group Daesh [ISIS]” within its borders. The ministry added that the hideouts of ISIS along the Durand Line were destroyed, the threat from the group completely eliminated.
The foreign ministry criticized a recent statement made by Asif Durrani, a representative of the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The ministry considered Durrani’s statement to be “far from the ground realities and an attempt to confuse the public opinion regarding Afghanistan.”
According to the Afghanistan Ministry, “all the problems and dangers that Durrani has caused to Afghanistan can be seen from Pakistan.”
