KABUL (BNA): Acting Foreign Minister, Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, met with Tariq Ali Bakheet, Special Envoy of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
According to a statement released by Foreign Affairs Ministry, the two sides discussed on security situation in Afghanistan, economic development, fight against illegal armed groups and drug eradication.
The two sides also talked about strengthening Afghanistan’s relations in cultural, political, economic and educational fields with the Islamic world as well as realization of common interests and finding solutions to common challenges.
Tariq Ali Bakheet added that the Organization of Islamic Cooperationbelieves in positive interaction with Afghanistan and will continue to support Afghanistan in various fields.
Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi , Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, said that the Islamic Emirate seeks to strengthen relations with Islamic countries and respects common interests of the members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
