KABUL(BNA): In a meeting, Acting Minister of Interior Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, welcomed the new Qatari chargé d’affaires for Afghanistan, Dr. Mirdef Alqashouti.
During the meeting, Haqqani congratulated Dr. Alqashouti on his appointment, terming it an important development for the relationship between the two countries. Haqqani praised the historical ties between Qatar and Afghanistan, and assured continued cooperation between the two sides.
In response, Dr. Alqashouti thanked Haqqani for the warm welcome and highlighted the new chargé d’affaires’ efforts and aspirations for the Afghanistan-Qatar relationship.
